The Rhubarb Society originally started as a moodboard, affectionately named after my dog and as a nod to the community I had built on my other social media platforms, filled with interesting, insightful people who shared my same passions for art, film, culture and everything in between. I really wanted to find a way to nurture this community outside of TikTok comments, DMs, and Instagram Q&As. Over the years, I have truly enjoyed the art of research (because it really is an art) and curation, in everything from the products to places to playlists; and whilst I’d always enjoyed sharing my finds, the missing piece for me was finding a like-minded community who could share their own back. In my mind, any good club or society should not only be a place filled with people who have shared passions and interests, but also one of fun.

For me, The Rhubarb Society is a safe space for those looking to live an inspired life and live every day with joy and intention.

Why should I pay for a subscription?

With my social media, I like to think part of the reason I’ve built such a great community is because it is rooted in foundations of trust. I don’t work with brands I don’t believe in, I don’t recommend products I never (or would never) use, and I will always give my firm and truthful opinions. I don’t want The Rhubarb Society to be any different. I don’t want to push adverts or paid ads with this newsletter because I want you to continue trust everything that is being recommended. At best, the closest to this I would want to offer are exclusive referral codes to brands that I love so that we can all benefit from a discount. Another important factor goes back to my mission for The Rhubarb Society to be a safe space for its members. By having the option for a subscription that only allows paying members to comment, contribute and chat, I can ensure that our society is only made up of like-minded people.
